Children under the age of 16 are not permitted to travel unless a parent or guardian accompanies them. If necessary, airlines can arrange for such children to be accompanied by airline representatives throughout their journey. They are classified into two groups: Unaccompanied minors are aged 5 to 11 years (up to but not including their 12th birthday), while young passengers are aged 12 to 15 years (up to but not including their 16th birthday).
