Hamad International Airport Introduces the Travel Recovery Studio at ORCHARD

09 September 2026

A Complimentary Wellness Experience for Passengers in Transit

Long journeys can often leave travellers feeling tired, stiff and in need of a moment to reset before continuing their journey. To help passengers recharge between flights, Hamad International Airport has introduced the Travel Recovery Studio at ORCHARD in Concourse C, a complimentary wellness experience designed to support wellbeing while travelling.

Running from 6 September to 25 October 2026, the Travel Recovery Studio offers guided 20-minute sessions combining breathing exercises, gentle stretching and movement on red light therapy recovery mats, which use warm, low-level light to encourage relaxation. Led by experienced instructors, the sessions are designed to help passengers release tension, improve comfort and feel refreshed before their next flight.

Located within ORCHARD, the experience takes place in one of the airport's most distinctive environments. The 6,000-square-metre indoor tropical garden is home to more than 300 trees and 35,000 plants from around the world, creating a natural setting where passengers can take a break from the pace of travel.

The Travel Recovery Studio reflects Hamad International Airport's focus on creating experiences that support passenger comfort and wellbeing throughout the journey. The initiative offers passengers an opportunity to pause, recharge and make the most of their time in transit.

Since opening in 2022, ORCHARD has become one of Hamad International Airport's most recognisable spaces, bringing together nature, art, dining and retail in a unique setting. The space features bronze sculptures from the Wildlife Wonderscapes collection by artists Gillie and Marc and is surrounded by a range of hospitality experiences, including Qatar Airways' Al Mourjan Business Lounge – The Garden, the Louis Vuitton Lounge by Yannick Alléno and the Dior Spa.

ORCHARD continues to evolve as a living ecosystem, with orchids, water lilies and lotus flowers flourishing throughout the space, alongside its recently introduced Japanese koi fish. Behind the scenes, advanced irrigation and climate control systems help maintain the conditions needed for the garden to thrive year-round.

The Travel Recovery Studio at ORCHARD is available to passengers aged 18 and above, subject to capacity. Sessions take place Sunday to Thursday from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM. To learn more, including session timings and participation information, visit the Travel Recovery Studio.

As Hamad International Airport continues to elevate passenger comfort and experience across its terminal, from world-class facilities to new wellness initiatives, travellers are invited to show their support in the Skytrax World Airport Awards 2027.
