A message of peace to the world by Iraqi artist Ahmed Al Bahrani

A Message of Peace to the World is a bronze sculpture by Iraqi artist Ahmed Al Bahrani, who has been living in Doha since 1999. It honors the work of Reach Out to Asia (ROTA), a non-profit organization based in Qatar that supports primary and secondary education in underprivileged countries throughout Asia. In recognition of the vital work ROTA has done, Al Bahrani conceived the sculpture by drawing on ROTA’s logo.

The logo consists of a formula in which investment in economic security and education equates to the well-being of children. Al Bahrani has folded the logo into the shape of a cube such that the surfaces of the sculpture are elaborated with the iconographic elements that stand for ROTA’s mission, with the sun, symbolizing hope and happiness, that radiating from its apex.
